SAT Verbal Portion Description

SAT preparation can greatly increase a student’s performance in a highly competitive college application process. This camp is designed to boost the student’s performance and confidence on the verbal portion of the test. Mr. Blystone, a long-time teacher at the Prep and college professor, will guide students to develop strategies for stronger performance in the verbal section. In a small group session, individual attention to each student will maximize performance on test day and grow critical thinking skills for life. While it will stress the skills needed for success in the verbal SAT, the summer experience will provide participants with an enjoyable and relaxing experience.

SAT Math Portion Description

Students will learn expectations in the math section of the SAT. The SAT math test covers a range of math practices, emphasizing problem-solving, modeling, strategically using tools, and using algebraic structure. This course will show them the skills needed for each topic and strategies for answering each question to produce higher scores. Students will be instructed on controlling careless errors using different techniques to approach the problems. *Requirements: Calculator (any type)
